Pattern Guidelines

I enjoy writing quilt patterns and sharing my love of quilting. My free patterns are a gift to my blog readers and visitors. Please reciprocate and do not reproduce, copy, distribute or sell these patterns or the items made from them. These patterns and finished projects are intended for your sole personal use. Please download the pattern(s) directly to your printer and do not alter or edit the patterns. This applies to all my patterns - be they from my blog, from magazines or from books.

For Sale:
Selling items made from my patterns is strictly forbidden. If you are a non-profit and would like to sell an item/items made from my patterns as a fundraiser where 100% of the profit goes DIRECTLY to the charity you may do so. Please contact me via my twitter or facebook if you have any questions.

Friends & Groups:
If you’d like to make the project(s) with friends as a group, please feel free to download and print extra copies for your computerless friends - otherwise please have your friends come to my blog and download their own copy.

Quilt Shops:
If you are an independent quilt shop, please feel free to make/sell kits or use my free pattern(s) as a shop class - please do not sell the pattern(s) in any shape or form, and pattern(s) can not be included in the price of the class or kit. If using one of my patterns that’s published in a magazine or book for a kit or a class, please provide a copy of the magazine/book in the purchase price for each kit/student.

Please do not print my free patterns for distribution. For kits and or classes - please direct your customers to my blog for their download.

I allow independent quilt shops to use my pattern to show my support and love for my quilting community - and hopefully help drive business to these shops. I ask that my courtesy be reciprocated by not printing my patterns - thus driving the same customers to my website - as well as to my off-site free patterns at Lecien, Better Homes & Gardens and Moda Bakeshop websites. Scratching each other’s backs.
